NYC SUBWAY EXIT FINDER

Find your way to street level.

A practical guide to comparing New York City subway street exits before you head upstairs.

1. Choose your subway station

Search the station catalog by station name, borough, or train line. At a multi-line station, you can select the train you are traveling on. ExitNYC groups records using official constituent-station associations while retaining other station sections and unconfirmed records.

2. Set your destination

Choose a bundled landmark, paste latitude and longitude, or start typing a New York City street address. Online address suggestions appear after three characters and a short pause. Select the intended result to compare exit points. Address and landmark points are approximate locations, not verified doorways.

3. Compare street exit points

Exit distances measure a straight line to your destination. With a train selected, the distance order is preserved within each group. Use the miles/kilometers selector as you prefer, and expand a group to see more choices. The first result in a group is not a claim about the quickest path from your platform.

4. Check the map and the station signs

Open an exit map to inspect its street position. The walking-route button hands the exit and destination coordinates to Google Maps online. Before choosing stairs or a passageway, follow posted signs and check access restrictions. Indoor connections, temporary closures, and elevator service are not verified by this app.

Examples of supported searches

You can compare Grand Central–42 St exits for an approximate Bryant Park destination, select a Herald Square train before searching a Midtown address, or look up Times Square / Port Authority exit records. These are examples of the search flow, not field-verified indoor routes.
